Privacy policy
Last updated: August 2026. This site is run by Daniel Garth. It is a place to listen to music, and it collects as little as possible to do that.
The short version
No advertising cookies. No third party trackers. No account needed. The site records which songs get played and any feedback left, with nothing attached that identifies you. If you would rather it did not, decline on the notice and it stops.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies for advertising, analytics or profiling. Two small pieces of browser storage are used:
- Your answer to the privacy notice. Stored on your own device so you are not asked on every page. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Sign in for the song manager. Only applies to Daniel. The manager page uses Firebase Authentication, which keeps a session in the browser so he is not signed out between uploads. This is strictly necessary for that page to work.

What is recorded
- Song plays. When a song starts, the site records which song, its genres and moods, the date and time, whether the screen was a phone or a desktop, and the site you arrived from. This is used to send Daniel a weekly summary of what people are listening to.
- Feedback. If you tap a reaction after a song, or type a note, that reaction and note are saved along with the song title.
No name, email address, IP address or device identifier is stored with either. The records cannot be traced back to a person, including by Daniel.
What is not recorded
- No account, name or email is needed to listen.
- No advertising trackers, no third party analytics scripts, no cross site profiling.
- No sale or sharing of any data with anyone, ever.
Where it goes
Play and feedback records are stored in Google Firebase, the database behind this site. The song files themselves are hosted with Supabase. Both are used purely as storage. Security rules prevent anyone, including this website, from reading the play log in a browser. It is read only by the weekly summary job that emails Daniel.
Other services
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Serving a font means Google sees your IP address, which is standard for anything loaded over the web. Links to Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube take you to those companies, where their own privacy policies apply.
Your choices
Declining on the notice stops play and feedback recording on your device. Since the records hold nothing that identifies you, there is nothing personal to look up or delete. If you left written feedback and want it removed, email athdan@gmail.com and it will be taken out.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of the page changes with it.
